Explore the amazing open space of coastal Marin County, hiking and camping in the Point Reyes National Seashore, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and in Mount Tamalpais and Tomales Bay State Parks. We will walk through forested ravines and rolling grass covered hills with spectacular coastal views, among redwoods and along estuaries, blufftops, and sandy beaches. Camping will be in rustic campgrounds, with one or two nights in a hostel. Birding and wildlife sightings are abundant. Spend a week in this natural setting, surrounded by an unspoiled coastal environment.
Hikers provide their own breakfast and lunch, dinners are provided by Coastwalk volunteers at each campsite. Your camping gear is hauled from one campsite to the next, so all you need to carry is a daypack. Hikes are of moderate distance, up to 10 miles per day over well developed trails.
Maximum enrollment is 24.
