Join us to sample the unique and diverse history and landscape of Santa Cruz County.
Our adventure begins on the coastal bluffs of Wilder Ranch State Historic Park. From the coast, we hike through chaparral country, past the San Lorenzo River, and into the forests of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. A park interpreter will show us the fascinating human and natural histories of the majestic coastal redwoods.
Next we’ll return by bus to the coast and take a long trek on soft beaches to Sunset State Beach and the mouth of the Pajaro River.
Two hikes of 10 miles, with an altitude gain of up to 1,000 feet makes this hike a partly strenuous adventure.
