Meeting place for leaderless carpooling: 8:30 a.m. at Denny’s Restaurant, Ukiah, (Perkins and Hwy 101) Alternate meeting place: 10 a.m. Van Damme State Park, ocean side of Hwy 1. Leader David LaFollette will guide you north about a mile on the California Coastal Trail to a good view point where it is hoped we will see migrating gray whales as well as other animals and points of interest. Last year, the group saw 10 whales, so we hope for good luck again this year! Bring a lunch, drinking water, layers of clothing, and wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes with good traction.  We’ll return to Van Damme parking about 2:00 p.m.

Steady rain or weather that obscures the water will cancel this walk.
