Discover your inner student and enjoy eating and sleeping on the Cal Poly Humboldt University Campus and explore the surrounding coastal beauty. Not just a campus tour, the Humboldt Discovery is suitable for Coastwalkers who are interested in shorter day hikes and prefer not to camp. The Humboldt Discovery Coastwalk is the also the perfect multi-generational opportunity; parents and grandparents are welcome to bring their college aged children or grandchildren over 15 years old for a weekend to experience life on a college campus.
The Humboldt Discovery Coastwalk will begin with a campus tour and continue with scenic and informative daily walks along the California Coastal Trail.
Private Rooms and All Meals Provided.
Participants shall be responsible for paying for parking and any state park entrance fees.

Experience the Best of Mendocino. Coastwalkers will hike on some of the most iconic trails in Mendocino County. On this Coastwalk participants will explore beaches, visit historical sites and camp among the giant redwood trees. Coastwalkers will also have the special opportunity to hike a trail on land recently purchased by Save the Red Woods not yet open to the public. Immerse yourself in the Best of Mendocino on this Coastwalk and hike under the unique Candelabra Redwood Trees of the Peter Douglas Trail. Stroll along beaches, view native wildlife from the enchanting bluff top trails of Russian Gulch, Mendocino Headlands, Van Damme and Sinkyone Wilderness State Parks. Visit Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens & enjoy a guided tour of Pt. Cabrillo Lighthouse.

Shine a light on the San Mateo Coast and stay at two light houses on this Coastwalk!
This year Coastwalk is shining a light on the San Mateo Coast with a stay at the Point Montara Lighthouse hostel and the Pigeon Point Lighthouse hostel. Coastwalkers will hike coastal trails and the recently opened Wilburs Watch Trail and more to make this a truly delightful adventure.
No camping on this Coastwalk, participants will enjoy dorm style accommodations (as pictured) in two Lighthouse Hostels.

Hike Ratings
Easy: Children ages 5-17 welcome with accompanying Adult, Guardian or Parent. Mostly level walks of 3-7 miles per day.
Moderate: Daily hiking averages 5-9 miles. Expect some elevation and/or sand walking. Children welcome with hike leader approval.
Strenuous: Significant Elevation gains and losses with mileage of 6-15 miles daily. Hike leader approval needed to register for most walks in this category.
