Public access to the coastline is guaranteed by California law. Coastwalk monitors access issues and helps ensure that the public can respectfully enjoy all that it has to offer.
Coastwalk educates the public and decision makers about our fragile coastline and coastal resources. It strives to preserve, protect and restore our beautiful coast and ocean.

Coastwalk California works with its partners, the Coastal Conservancy, the Coastal Commission, State Parks and others, to complete the California Coastal Trail. The Trail is more than sixty percent complete and will run unbroken from Oregon to Mexico.
Coastwalk provides resources for trail users including maps, podcasts and information that will enhance the user’s experience. The Trail is used by millions in various ways at different locations. It provides healthy and free outdoor recreation for all.
