Bring your camping gear and we will haul it for you as we head south for six glorious days of hiking and camping among the lush flowers, ferns, and shrubs of a magical rain forest. Towering overhead are the tallest trees on the planet, the Sequoia Semperviren. Hikers will be guided along enormous sand spits that enclose and separate large lagoons from the Pacific Ocean. Tide pools and gravel beaches will give the curious naturalist or geologist a chance to identify sea creatures or find an elusive agate! Watch for spouting whales as they migrate north to Arctic feeding grounds. Near the end of our Coastwalk, we will have an exciting opportunity to witness a ceremonial Yurok Brush Dance.
