Hike where the City meets the sea and savor the unique juxtaposition of skyline and the busy waterfronts of San Francisco with stunning remote vistas of the Marin Headlands. Enjoy the rare experience of waking in the eucalyptus groves of San Francisco’s Rob Hill Campground in the Presidio. Hike through western San Francisco, past the Presidio, Ocean Beach, the Cliff House, Land’s End, and the beautiful homes of Seacliff. Crossing the picturesque Golden Gate Bridge, we make our way to the Marin Headlands. Hike through miles of wild coastal scrubs and flowery grasslands, viewing both spectacular rugged landscapes and city panoramas along the way. Wind down at the Headlands Hostel with dinner, warm beds, and hot showers.
Guided moderate walks, 5 to 7 miles per day on a mix of trail and sidewalks, 4 days/2 nights camping, 1 night indoors, 24 capacity.
