Goodbyes at the Office
Two interns from Sonoma State University’s planning departments joined Coastwalk this past year. Their projects primarily involved database work on the Conservancy signage grant. Both wrapped up their internship hours over the summer, and we are thankful for all the work they put into Coastwalk.
Lauren Hendrickson
Lauren graduated from Sonoma State University this past May with a degree in Environmental Studies and Planning and is now enrolled in a Masters program at San Jose State University. She grew up loving the Santa Cruz beaches as well as those in the Capitola area. She loves to hike and during her time at Coastwalk and in Sonoma County found a new love for the beauty and scenery at Bodega Head.
Andrea Bell
Another recent graduate from Sonoma State University, Andrea interned with Coastwalk from the fall of 2012 until her Graduation in May of 2013 with her BA in Environmental Studies and Planning. Coastwalk was lucky enough to hire Andrea the summer before she moved back home to Cameron Park, CA to run our Adopt A Beach program and help out with our Summer Walks program. Some of you may have had the chance to talk to her while planning your walk, we hope to see her and her family out on a walk next season!
It is with great sadness but so much gratitude for her time and contributions to Coastwalk throughout the years that we said goodbye to Julie Sicaud this year. We look forward to frequent updates on her garden and family. While we begin the search and hiring process please direct your accounting questions to Stephanie.
Anniversaries!
